Discover Mildura

Discover Mildura is operated by husband and wife team Phill and Alison Stone and with the combined tally of more than 220 years of continual family farming history in the region they have a strong connection to the land and consider themselves “locals”.

In the North West corner of Victoria sits the inland city of Mildura situated on the banks of the magnificent Murray River. This fast growing regional centre is surrounded by a huge variety of irrigated agricultural crops, predominately vines, making it a frequently visited desert oasis.

Appropriately named Victoria’s “Clean & Green Food Bowl”, the area produces vast quantities of wines, table grapes and dried vine fruit along with numerous other crops like asparagus, almonds, olives, citrus, pistachios & carrots.

Dryland farming of the outer region along with the diversity of the irrigation crops creates a most spectacular combination of patchwork fields

to explore all year round.

A major innovative solar plant just out of Mildura, has been “turned on” and connected to the National Energy Grid mid 2013 harnessing one of our most recognised local assets…the Sun!
