What's On in Mildura

Mildura hosts a busy calendar of events throughout the year. Head to Mildura in March for Mildura Wentworth Arts Festival, featuring events such as Music under the Stars at the dramatic Perry Sandhills.

In July Mildura Golf Week tees off, and the Mildura Writers' Festival entices lovers of words to the region. In August, dont forget to check out the Euston Club Resort Mildura Cup which will be held over a two day carnival and of course The Merbein Great Vanilla Slice Triumph; where bakers across Australia compete for the prize of Best Vanilla Slice.

In September the Mildura Country Music Festival presents Australia's biggest showcase of independent country music artists. The Mildura Jazz and Wine Festival in November combines the best of Australian modern and traditional jazz with the region's fine wines at wineries and on riverboats, restaurants and along streets throughout the town.

MILDURA HISTORIC TRUCK & TRACTOR SHOW

Saturday 27 & Sunday 28,SuniTAFE, Benetook Ave

The Mildura Historic Truckand Tractor Show will showcase the evolution of transport and farm machinery prior to 1968. Trucks will be displayed in order of decade production. The display will allow you to see first hand the progress and improvement of transport in Australia. The tractors will be displayed around the perimeter where you will be able to see the different types and makes.

There will also be old farm machinery on display. This two day event is brought to you by the Tractor Restoration and Appreciation Club Sunraysia Inc. Times:

ACO2 - AUSTRALIAN CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

Friday 19, 7.30pm, Mildura Arts Centre Theatre, Cureton Ave Presented by Mildura Arts Centre and Australian Chamber Orchestra. ACO2 is a string ensemble featuring core musicians from the ACO and talented young stars of the future. The musicians will conduct string workshops in Mildura between 10am and 1pm for enthused local musicians. Directing the orchestra will be accordion player James Crabb who is famous around the globe for his passionate performances of the seductive and dramatic tango music of Astor

Piazzolla. James Crabb joins ACO2 for the Piazzolla works, and the young Emerging Artists of ACO2 will take

centre stage in Mendelssohn’s luxuriant
